timeless photography inspired by creative travel, vintage decor and mindful design
Wild Zephyr is a passion photography project founded by Jenn Ashley
Our growing family lives a nomadic lifestyle based in Northern California and traveling as much as we can. Travel has always inspired us and we're love to explore with our little one now too. Whether we're soaking up the sunny beaches or embracing the cool changing seasons in the Midwest, we love to capture the culture of our Southern + Northern California home and the places we see around the world. In the recent years since welcoming our first child, we are realizing more than ever how quickly time fades and the importance of cherishing the time we have together. This photography brand is ever evolving to accommodate our new family focused lifestyle and leaning into a "slower living" mentality to savor the moments we are in.
We’re so excited to share a piece of our new home in Northern California and wine country culture and interiors with you.
Jenn Ashley
Hey I’m Jenn! My passion for photography began many years ago as I plotted to escape my 12-hour nursing shifts in the hospital. The photography business evolved from shooting friends and family, to stateside weddings and finally international weddings and portraits. As our family has grown our photography has transformed to accommodate our changing routines and lifestyles. Our brand now stems from my love of capturing moments with my toddler and documenting our travels. As a Southern California native, I have always had a deep connection with the ocean and the unique style and culture that comes with living in this beautiful place. Through my photography, I aim to capture the essence of SoCal culture and share it with the world. Whether it's a day spent playing in the sand or exploring the streets of a new city, I believe that every moment is worth remembering.
Colin
Hello! I’m Colin. I always tell Jenn I’m the CEO of Wild Zephyr but in reality I’m the less talented tag along. I was born and raised on the westside of L.A. and I spent as much time as I could without a shirt or shoes, browning on the beaches in the California sun. Surfing, sports, and the outdoors have always been my jam and as I got older I got the itch for travel as well. I loved snapping photos on my many wanderings but never knew what I was doing until I met Jenn and she taught me the true art of photography. Family and close friends are at the top of my list and while the beach will always be home, I’m too fascinated by the world to settle in any one place too long.
