I’d first like to clarify that this was Colin’s 30th birthday (ehem, and it was about 4 years ago). But these photos and that trip were way too epic not to share. I’ve actually been back to Puerta Vallarta for another 30th birthday celebration since then, and I probably would have planned my birthday there this year too, except Covid stomped on those dreams. But anyways, this place is legit, and if you can swing a trip, do it, do it, do it. I know we’ll be back.

Ever since Colin and I met and began living to the full extent of our Sagittarius selves, we have been able to cross a lot of gorgeous destinations off our bucket list. We usually don’t need an occasion, but for this international trip, we planned this with 8 friends and celebrated Colin’s 30th in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was a quick 3 hour flight from LAX and we LUCKED out with our Airbnb! This one is by far my most epic Airbnb booking. We were absolutely set in this penthouse condo in the Sayan Beach residence, complete with two pools, two bars serving us food and drinks all day long, unreal views, plenty of lounge space for our group, and we were within walking distance to the beach and a quick taxi into the city. We really didn’t even want to leave our place because the food was incredible, we had 100 beers delivered to the condo, ordered pina coladas with no end in site, and soaked in the pools to our hearts content.

Don’t worry, we did end up leaving the condo for a couple outings: snorkeling and a trip to a private island with more bomb Mexican food. Friday night we ended up downtown at a swanky club that I can barely remember and the rest is history! Cheers to your 30’s! Welcome them right.
